46003036 Project and Funding Co-ordinator North East £26000 to £28000 per annum Permanent jobs Updated 20/11/2009 18:48 Job Role The purpose of this role is to provide a relationship and element of control between the finance function of the organisation and the budget holders/managers of the key projects to ensure that the projects are on schedule, on budget and cash flow at key stages is managed.
The role requires knowledge of grant funding claims and knowledge of this area is essential for a successful application, experience of working within public bodies would therefore be a significant advantage.
You will provide cost analysis information on the financial demands placed on the business for the duration of each project prior to its commencement; liaise with all the departments where projects are ongoing and advise, educate and manage the process by which the budget holders prioritise events and understa
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the necessary requirements typically required for a successful grant fund claim submitted to various public bodies. Additionally you will have the following attributes:
- Ability to manage multiple streams of information
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand and communicate the financial impact of events during a project lifecycle
- Knowledge of Sage accounting software would be helpful although not essential
- Attention to detail
- Ability to influence and persuade colleagues for positive change
