Purchasing Manager
As a major retail brand, our client is one of the UK's leading Leisure companies with sites all over the UK and Ireland. An opportunity has now arisen for a Purchasing Manager to join their team of five at their head office in South London.
This role requires someone with purchasing experience gained within the hospitality or retail industry, strong leadership skills and the ability to deliver savings through effective negotiation.
As the Purchasing Manager/Procurement Manager you'll be responsible for delivering savings and adding value through vendor management and best practice supplier contracting.
Specifically, your duties will include:
- Researching/sourcing identifying categories, supply positioning and supplier base development
- Supply and contract planning, and supplier selection
- Supplier and contract management monitoring performance, strategic reviews
- Price and contract negotiation gaining best prices, understanding the market
- Supply chain management ensuring the supply chain is operating cost effectively and meets the requirements of the supply function
As the Purchasing Manager/Procurement Manager you should also be a strong communicator with excellent supplier negotiation skills and an understanding of purchasing and supply management principles.
