Our client are a leading provider in Digital Power Analysis and Transformer testing. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality/Electronic Engineer to join the Global Operations Group and to ensure that the quality of products and services that reach they're global customers, are of the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for the role encompass
1, Outgoing QA
Follow documented processes to ensure quality of outgoing work, for both new and serviced product.
2, Goods in inspection of materials and product from suppliers.
Ensure goods are inspected promptly
Provide clear reports on deviations or rejects found at inspection for feed back to suppliers .Refine and update inspection criteria to improve systems
3, Demonstration equipment
Inspect and update demonstration equipment supplied to our distributors and customers, so that it is in good condition and suitable for use.
4, Calibration of standards
Monitor and update the calibration register of all test equipment used internally so that all equipment used in calibration, and to drive to constant process of external verification of equipment.
5, Calibration test and repair.
Become part of the wider calibration test and repair team that will cross train and provide cover for each member of the group during busy periods or holidays.
Ideal Candidate
Will have a formal qualification in electronics or electrical engineering, with relevant practical experience and be highly motivated to develop technically
as well as to contribute to the company's progress and development
Ideal candidates will have experience of PCB assembly and light mechanical assembly techniques, soldering in SMD and PTH (according to IPC610A - class 2)-
operating basic test equipment: Oscilloscopes, DVM's, and computers.
Ability to work as part of a team and need to be self-organised, open minded, honest.
Ready to take proactive role in maintaining and improving the QA function.
