Risk Assessment Engineer / QRA / Quantity Risk Assessment Engineer – Aerospace/Defence/Nuclear Sectors.
Company provide high end technical and project management services to prime Defence companies.
They are seeking the right individuals at a number of levels to join their growing Defence team in Derby, which provides specialist technical, mechanical engineering, safety and reliability and project management services supporting their ongoing commitment to the UK MoD Submarine Programme.
They are seeking a Senior Probabilistic Safety Analysis (Risk) Engineers who are able to demonstrate sufficient and appropriate mechanical engineering analytical capability to deliver a range of technically challenging projects and to support the development of safety cases in the nuclear industry.
This role will be based atthe clients offices in Derby. Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to clients offices may also be required.
Requirements
Essential
"Suitable scientific or engineering degree or equiv.
"Sound technical or engineering background.
"Post-graduate experience in the nuclear industry.
"Experience in the production/application of 4 or more of the following:
oFault Tree Analysis
oEvent Tree Analysis
oFailure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis
oHazard assessments
oHuman Reliability Analysis (HEART, THERP, etc.)
oCommon Cause Failure Analysis (e.g. partial Beta factor method)
oFault Schedule Production.
"Ability to integrate (the output from) the above processes into currently available PSA software tools.
"Good communication and presentational skills
"Experience of liaising directly with clients
"Ability to recognise and assist in the development of business opportunities
