6 month contract
Title:Logistics Specialist
Business:Industrial Analysis
Key Responsibilities
¨Ensure that the customer is kept up to date and provided with all necessary information to enable successful shipping and receipt of Industrial Analysis products.
¨Acting as the customer’s representative within the company Industrial Analysis.Seeing issues from the customer’s perspective and represents the customers point of view
¨Maintain effective communication and relationships with customers and other other business functions and ensure that their interests are effectively represented within the operations team.
¨Process orders received, ensuring all practical and commercial business requirements are met e.g. completeness, ability to deliver, conformance with commercial terms, pricing etc.
¨Maintaining the Industrial Analysis S&OP process and co-ordinate changes to capacity or Planning BOM’s
¨Promote continuous improvement as a standard practice.
¨Review processes, procedures and documentation ensuring best practice guidelines are met.
¨Ensure that export licensing and DTI licensing requirements are met.
¨Provide management information on lead time, order book and backlog status.
Key capabilities required for Logistics Specialist
¨Experience of order entry, national and international shipping administration within a technology production/manufacturing environment.
¨Experience of planning and scheduling in a complex multi product environment.
¨Experience of providing a customer-focused, high quality administration service working under pressure.
¨Familiar withExportDelivery terminology and documentation (i.e. Incoterms)
¨Familiar with export documentation and procedures.
¨Recent experience of generating order entry and shipping documentation in support of detailed manufacture, assembly and test activities
¨Good customer service skills
¨Operation and interpretation of MRP process
¨Ability to effectively analyse numerical data
¨Good communication skills with people at all levels
¨Able to work effectively within a team as well as independently, prioritising workload in a fast changing environment.
¨Excellent attention to detail, organised and commercially aware.
¨PC literate. MS office suite or equivalent – intermediate to advanced level as opposed to beginner. Presentation – ability to create well-organised, clear and meaningful documents.
