RAIL ENGINEERS

Due to an increasing rail portfolio, our client is seeking skilled and highly motivated Rail Engineers with rail experience from a variety of disciplines and industry sectors, to support growth and to add to their technical consulting capabilities, primarily within the rail industry.
Primarily the role of Rail Engineer will involve the development of their rail offering but successful candidates will also have the opportunity to utilise their skills within other industries, thus developing overall knowledge and experience.
To succeed as Rail Engineer you will ideally be degree qualified, however relevant experience will be considered. You should have experience in some/all of the following:
Rail infrastructure projects
Understanding of Safety management systems and Yellow Book principles
Electrical engineering in a rail environment
Signalling systems
Rolling stock engineering and design
Implementation of RCM and RAM requirements
Accident investigation
Project management
Technical leadership on projects
Interpretation of clients technical needs
Preparation of proposals
You must possess an excellent understanding of rail systems, traction and/or infrastructure, safety management systems and reliability improvements using RAM and RCM techniques. Ideally you will also possess experience within a commercial environment as well as experience in managing customer relationships.
This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
