Our client is currently seeking a highly ambitious graduate who have recently completed a Life Science MSc or PhD and who is now looking for their 1st career path into the business world.
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's leading medical communication marketing and publishing agencies as a Research & Reference Coordinator. As innovators in communication our client is constantly searching for new and creative ways in which to help their clients meet their objectives. Their services include consultancy, building strong business relations, communication planning and professional training for clients in the pharmaceutical industry, non-government and government organisations.
Reporting into a Senior Business Manager, your main responsibilities will be to check all references used in the marketing-led solutions produced for clients and to research background information relating to the NHS, legislation boards, Pharmaceutical industry, medical professionals and any other relevant institutions.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Review all references provided by medical writers
• You will also be required to source references and undertake internet based research on products and therapeutic areas.
• Research the background relating to various disease areas, relevant medical professionals, Associations, NHS bodies and any other parties relevant to particular projects.
• Research medical product background to support various proposals and tenders
• Provide an efficient referencing service for major legislation boards and projects such as NICE and SMC submissions, systematic reviews and health economic analysis.
• Search for and obtain missing references
• Receive manuscripts from authors and forward completed manuscripts to the editorial department in London for sub editing and design
• Carry out searches for scientific papers
• Keep up to date with relevant articles and news on the NHS and Pharmaceutical industry
• You would work closely within a team environment of Project Managers and Business Managers.
This role would suit a life-sciences graduate, ideally with an MSc or PhD, looking to gain commercial , business experience/ first position within a business environment.
. Alternatively you may have experience in a similar role. You will be able to demonstrate high levels of diligence and accuracy. You will need to have good knowledge of Microsoft packages, excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. You will also need to be flexible in your approach to work and be self-motivated by nature.
