Reporting to the Regional Practice Leader (Ottawa), and eventually to the Managing Principal, will provide business development and marketing direction and project management capabilities to the Ottawa office. The Regional Leader will act as a catalyst in continuing to grow the organization and its resources to expand presence in Ottawa, (Gatineau) and the Eastern Ontario area.
o Participates in development of yearly Business Plan in conjunction with Regional Practice Leader.
o Participates in Leadership Team Meetings as required, in absence of Regional Practice Leader providing updates on results in relation to Business Planning targets.
o In partnership with Practice Leader and Human Resources team, actively recruits and selects qualified team members to grow Ottawa's office.
o Daily and ongoing management of Sales and Project Team resources in support of Business Plan and objectives, to achieve targeted results.
o Works in collaboration with the Studio Operations manager in the planning of work load and staff requirements.
Marketing/Business Development
o Brings 10-15 years of regional (Ottawa or surrounding area) experience in the field of Architecture and Interior Design in Public and Private Sectors. Works closely with the Business Development and Marketing team (Toronto) and Market-specific Practice Leaders to build Business Development.
o Has capabilities in French and English markets.
o Actively support Business Development targets as set in yearly Business Planning process
o Participate in monthly meetings with Marketing to ensure appropriate connections and resources are being allocated and utilized with respect to BD targets
Design
o Collaborates with Design Director and Assistant Design Director to determine design focus and direction specific to projects
o Collaborates with team of Design Leaders and Regional Design Leader as required to continuously advance design excellence within.
o Actively supports and enhances the firms international Design Philosophy
Operations
o Effective and profitable management of office projects - meeting objectives as set through yearly business planning process
o Active participant in project planning and scheduling (in partnership with Studio Operations manager)
o In partnership with Director of Studio Operations (Canada), design and deliver on effective Work plans in Deltek
o Partner with Director of Studio Operations (Canada) to ensure effective contracts and agreements are in place for each project
