Regional Security Officer, Security Supervisor - Leading Retailer

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, focused and mobile Regional Security Officer to manage all aspects of security for 10 stores within the South West Midlands area. Travel is essential, as a rota system is used to ensure coverage of all Company locations in the area. Driven and highly self-motivated, you will report directly to the Area Security Manager ensuring effective control of shrinkage within the region.
This is an extremely demanding and varied role, where your key responsibilities include;
•Carrying out appropriate procedures in the pursuit and apprehension of customers suspected of pilfering.
•Carrying out internal security investigations to identify any collusion which may defraud the Company, including random security searches of Company employees, suppliers and contractors.
•Carry out audits providing reports as appropriate to ensure that Company security policy is being adhered to and communicating your findings to the Store Management.
•Deliver the security plans for designated stores to support the Management and staff to protect the Company’s assets & achieve acceptable levels of shrinkage
•Provide advice, guidance & training to all retail colleagues within the allocated stores in security procedures and loss prevention systems
•Carry out regular checks of security equipment across stores to ensure that standards are maintained and business requirements are met
•Manage risk assessments to evaluate any potential areas of weakness for the stores and make recommendations and implement improvements where necessary
•Report on serious incidents within stores and follow up action with Area Security Manager as appropriate
•Effective utilisation of third party guarding Assignment Instructions
Regional Security Officer, Security Supervisor - Leading Retailer Required Skills:
To be successful in the role security or retail experience is preferable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful Security Officer will have confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with Store Management, Police and external sources. A methodical working approach is required as you will be required to work using your initiative with the ability to approach a variety of situations with maturity and consideration.
