Our client are looking to recruit for a Full Time Registered Manager to run their 9 bedded residential service. The service is mixed sex and has various levels of residents with autism.
Summary of Job PurposeTo take day to day responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the House.To provide the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people, to appropriate professional standards, in accordance with the policies of the company and the requirements of the Registering and Placing Authorities.To involve full integration of the service with that at the house.
Service Aim
The aim of this centre is to use the skills, model and facilities at our disposal to enable our young people to achieve their potential for a full and independent adult life.
Key task areas
1.Young people
1.1Receives referrals and arranges assessments in line with company policy.
1.2In conjunction with the Manager, arrange admissions of suitable young people to the project.Ensures that personal plans and funding are in place.
1.3Allocates key worker to each young person and ensures appropriate liaison with external agencies.Acts as key worker as necessary.
1.4Monitors the achievement of all young people's personal plans, offering advice and support where necessary.Takes corrective action as required.
1.5Ensures regular reviews are undertaken in conjunction with relevant external agencies and that young people's interests are appropriately represented.
1.6Provides direct care and supervision as required to young people in the project, including providing cover for occasional staff absence.
1.7Ensures the maintenance of effective daily contacts with external colleagues, both within Young Options and in other organisations.
1.8Works positively with families and others involved with the young people as required.
1.9Directs and coordinates the care and therapy services to The House to ensure that targets are met.
2.STAFFING
2.1Works in support of the Manager to ensure that staff with appropriate qualifications and experience are recruited and maintained within the project to the standards and level outlined in the registration document, at all times.
2.2Ensures that full checks are undertaken and a probationary period completed before any member of staff is allowed to work unsupervised. Ensures qualifications and registration are regularly reviewed and updated.
2.3Develops and maintains systems of delegation and review in accordance with company policy, which promote teamwork and communication.
2.4Provides regular staff supervision and review in accordance with company policies.Supports staff in achieving their personal development plans.
3.QUALITY
3.1Ensures that agreed quality standards are maintained in all areas, especially:
-Care and Specialist therapy programmes for Young people
-Statutory regulations, including Health & Safety, Fire & Environmental Health.
-Key aspects of the Young Options Policy Folder.
-Standards of maintenance, decoration, cleanliness and grounds.
4.GENERAL
4.1Ensures that all care, financial and administrative records are maintained in accordance with company policies.
4.2Ensures that all young people's financial affairs are administered strictly in accordance with company policies.
4.3Ensures that The House operates to agreed financial targets.
4.4Works to promote the project as a valued, professional asset within its community, to referrers, relatives and young people.Ensures that they and all staff conduct themselves at all times in a manner that reinforces this image.
4.5Any other duties appropriate to this type and level of post as may be agreed from time to time.
