THE COMPANY
A multi million pound business specialising in global payments, our client employs 2,000 people, 200 of which are based in the UK.
Established in 1996, their most profitable division, which provides a currency conversion product, is going to rapidly expand over the next 2 years. With this in mind they need to recruit a quality relationship manager to drive sales through a number of high profile existing accounts.
THE ROLE
Relationship Manager, Account Manager, Partnership Manager, Retail Manager, Area Manager. Store Liaison Manager
£28,000 basic, 12.5% Bonus, Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Pension, 23 days holiday.
Focusing on the Scotland and the North East, the relationship manager will circa inherit key merchant 200 accounts. These accounts will include major hotel chains such as Hilton, Intercontinental and Hyatt; all duty free locations, top end department stores and many tourist attractions.
The product allows consumers using foreign credit cards to pay in their local currency rather than pound sterling. This allows consumers to understand exactly how much they are spending, and budget accordingly, whilst retailers receive benefits from the banks.
With 20% of the accounts making up 80% of the revenue, it is crucial that the relationship manager spends quality time with their merchants, making sure they are trained on the product and understand the benefit of it to both consumer and merchant.
There is a small element (approx 20%) of new business to this role as the relationship manager will be expected to close business from leads provided by telemarketing support. The relationship manager must be focused on developing partnerships at all levels in the merchants, incentivising staff to use the currency conversion product at each opportunity.
