We are one of the leading country's Self-Storage brands and due to continued growth require an excellent Relief Manager.
To provide support within the designated region as and when required. To act as cover and support stores within the region in the absence of the Store Manager and support the Regional Manager. To maintain sales activity levels, compliance, customer service standards and sustain effective staff relationships.
Principle Objectives:
• Ensure that the store complies with company standards and procedures in:
• Operating and financial controls,
• Staff relationships,
• Marketing,
• Health & Safety,
• Housekeeping and maintenance
• Maintain local awareness of local competitor activity and inform the Regional Manager accordingly,
• Develop and maintain promotional relationships with local businesses within the region.
Relief Manager, Retail Assistant Manager Main Duties:
• Provide support and help as directed by Regional Manger
• Open and close store as key holder while colleagues are absent
• Promote sales in line with the stores business plan
• Proactively market the store, which will include leaflet drops and business visits
• Ensure store(s) achieves revenue targets
• As required prepare, present and follow up written quotations and tenders for each store with Regional Manager guidance
• Maintain and promote excellent financial controls, cash handling, banking and accounting procedures – using The Black Book and 6 Of The Best as minimum standards
• Ensure store housekeeping and cleaning presents a professional image at all times
• Ensure that company administrative systems are maintained and adhered to at all times
• Carry out adhoc tasks as requested by Regional Manager
Responsibilities:
• Day to day liaison with customers
• Achieving a high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Achievement of weekly, monthly and yearly sales targets

You may have worked in the following capacities:
Retail Manager, Retail Supervisor, Store Manager, Store Supervisor, Area Supervisor, Cover Manager, Cover Store Manager.
