Our client, a leading UK retailer with a store presence globally are currently seeking to recruit an E-Commerce Merchandiser to be an integral part of the expansion of their on line retail business offering Working closely with the Ecommerce Controller the successful candidate will also liaise closely with the B&M and stock allocation teams to merchandise the online channel and effectively manage the sales, stock, margin and markdown plans for our client Responsibilities/ Objectives: Planning:
• Seasonally plan and forecast sales volumes across all departments
• Build the online range ensuring that the website has the optimum width of range and depth of stock to ensure sales and margin targets are achievable.
• Manage online WSSI working closely with the team who has built the traditional clothing side of the business
• Provide fulfilment partner with quarterly assortment plans and weekly intake forecasts Trading - to trade the sites by:
• Reviewing sales daily to early trends are picked up on quickly, gaps identified and contingencies proposed
• Managing weekly stock levels in line with agreed stock targets
• Reviewing sales forecasts in line with current performance, making recommendations to maximise sales opportunities.
• Planning and actioning markdowns and online promotions in line with the both online promotional and stores calendars
• Communicate to the B&M teams with recommendations on improving category performance and maintaining stock availability
To take ownership for:
• Integration between the Website and the Merchandising system on Product
• Integrity of Stock files, including stock transfers
• Optimum levels of stock availability |
