Our clients have been established for 25 years and have their head office function based in Dorset. They manufacture and distribute their products through stores in the UK and overseas market. They have recently launched a new division for home shoppers and have an exciting new vacancy for a Retail Stock Analyst based at head office.
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
The Retail Stock Analyst is responsible for the overall management of all operational tasks for the home channel, including but not limited to: Control of stock, stock levels, the Fourfront system software, consultant enquiries and pick pack operations. In addition the role will be responsible for regular reporting and management information.
This role is key to the success of the Home proposition and the role will be responsible for the continuously improve and performance of the channel through customer feedback and data insight, providing recommendations.
The holder will demonstrate the ability to multi-task and work cross functionally. Additionally, the post holder will also need to work successfully with external contacts such as the third party warehouse and Home leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock Management
- Liaise with sales departments of Home businesses and by using prior sales data and known sales trends and sales forecast; create a consolidated annual forecast for all home businesses. Working within the the company forecast process review plu performance against unit forecast and re-forecast at agreed intervals.
- Manage stock replenishment to home business picking operations taking into account projected sales pattern on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Working closely with the fulfillment operation, modify replenishment pattern & frequency making best use of capacity and resources.
- Where stock is required “to promise” to ensure lost sales is kept to a minimum work within the defined process to ensure stock integrity is maintained at all times.
- Monitoring sales of bespoke home channel products (business tools) to ensure maximum availability whilst also managing the sell through of more seasonal lines.
- To consult with the fulfillment operation on availability of bundles and kits and request volumes of bundles required on a weekly basis ensuring pack stock is available for assemblies.
- To liaise with marketing functions on the introduction of new lineage ensuring inventory policy and location data is set in a timely manner and where lines are being removed stock obsolescence is minimised.
- Ordering, tracking and release of all new products (core and business tools) as per the sales schedule.
Systems Management (Fourfront and other integrated systems)
To administer the Fourfront sales software monitoring data and stock integrity and accept responsible for security and access levels in the software solution.
Maintain all inventory policy on Fourfront ensuring stock availability is maintained to provide a high level of stock availability and at all times working within a maximum stock value target.
On a daily basis monitor actual sales through Fourfront looking for abnormal sales patterns and taking appropriate action to ensure any lost sales are minimised.
To be the first point of contact for any Fourfront queries from the business along with fault management and solutions.
Constantly reviewing the Fourfront system and making recommendations for improved efficiency and further systems development.
Working across the company on broader systems (such as Q Pulse).
Consultant enquiries
- Overall management of UK consultant enquiries ensuring all queries are responded to within agreed SLA's, including management of co-ordinator and support role.
- Monitoring consultant feedback and making recommendations for improvement especially from an operational perspective.
- Developing a robust process for collating the queries raised and producing weekly reports as required.
- Constantly looking for ways to improve the service we offer our consultants.
Reporting and Analytics
- To build and maintain a strong suite of analytics based on agreed key performance indicators in relation to all operational tasks (KPI’s).
- Providing key management information for Sales, Marketing and Operations in relation to new product development and implementation.
- Providing weekly reports on key performance indicators as required.
- To provide a weekly status update for circulation to the Home Management Team.
- Provide accurate stock reports and forecasts for the Home channels
- To provide the marketing team with accurate data analytics for all marketing activity so that they can developing sound recommendations for future activity based on campaign results, customer feedback and market/trend data.
- Liaising across the company; marketing, stock, sales, finance and operations.
People Management/Development
- The Retail Stock Analyst currently has one direct report (Home co-ordinator)In order to achieve success the candidate will be required to work in a cross-functional environment and will need to have the ability to communicate with and influence at all levels.
- The role requires the candidate to develop strong working relationships with external partners and suppliers to deliver a best in class proposition.
