There’s never been a better time to get involved with the award-winning Santander (voted ‘World’s best bank’ by Euromoney magazine) and we’ve got big plans for the future as an exciting programme of growth and innovation continues.
Since 2004, Abbey has been part of the Santander Group and in 2008, Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley also become part of the Santander Group.
To take on this challenge we have a team of skilled Reward professionals who provide a reward framework that supports the attraction and retention of the best people of all three brands.
This is a unique and valuable opportunity to join a busy Reward team that will provide you with the chance to develop and build upon your current skills. The role will support the Reward team in the delivery of the corporate reward agenda by working collaboratively with HR Business Partners. It will take a key role in the development, communication and implementation of Reward policies, the sourcing and analysis of internal and external reward information and in the delivery of both, corporate and divisional reward initiatives.
The relationship management, policy development, analytical and modelling skills that you have acquired in a previous reward role will be used as you support the development of reward policies, analyse data, proactively identify reward trends, and interpret the potential implications for the design and delivery of reward solutions. You will also take responsibility for the delivery of reward service for specific business divisions, which means working closely with other areas of the HR community, such as HR Service Centre and Systems, HR Business Partners and other Areas of Expertise within the wider HR team.
To make your mark, you will have a detailed technical understanding of corporate reward and be proficient in bringing ideas to life, including devising and communicating reward policies, leading job evaluation sessions with business contacts and interpreting salary surveys. You will have previous experience of managing initiatives from beginning to end and will work collaboratively within the team. The role requires that you are adaptive by nature and able to respond to the increasing pace of change in Financial Services. Your outstanding communication and relationship management skills will be matched by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good attention to detail and the ability to be proactive and work to tight deadlines are also key to success in this role.
