Job Role

Areas of Responsibility

Information Security Management
- To conduct impact analyses and recommend appropriate changes to the Group`s ISM strategy arising from legislation/codes of practice, business initiatives, technology developments and emerging risks.
- To ensure that findings from risk and gap analyses proposing changes to information security procedures are implemented as appropriate.
- To review projects and requests from the business to ensure ISM requirements are satisfied.
- To ensure ISM projects deliver the agreed controls including deployment of appropriate solutions.
- To provide advice and guidance on ISM related matters to the managers and projects.
- To create and maintain a plan of information security control audit
Demonstrated experience in an Information Security Management role.
Experience of recommending changes and influencing at a high level.
A good understanding of cost-effective information security risk management
Good analytical skills.
Good persuasive skills to convince others.
Ability to communicate at Board level as well as departmental levels.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative
Organised but flexible approach to work

Desirable

Detailed knowledge of Data Protection legislative requirements.
Proven experience in the development and management of business continuity plans
Financial Services organisation in the West Midlands
Up to £50,000 + benefits.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
