SALES MANAGER
Meetings & Incentive Travel Portfolio
REED TRAVEL EXHIBITIONS
Reed Travel Exhibitions is seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to work on sales and strategic account management for our portfolio of meetings and incentive events. The portfolio currently comprises EIBTM in Barcelona, GIBTM in Abu Dhabi, CIBTM in Beijing, AIME in Melbourne, and the ICCA Congress exhibition in a different location each year, together with new and emerging projects.The role will involve regular travel in order to present business solutions in a face to face environment.
The JobThe main elements of the role are:
- To meet predetermined targets
- Responsibility for planning and implementing sales of exhibition space and non-space revenues such as sponsorship.
- Retention and growth of the existing business through strategic account management.
- Identification, research and successfully closing new business opportunities
- Planning, developing and managing floor plan areas.
- Communication across all disciplines to ensure market intelligence is shared in order to maximise an potential opportunities.
- Compliance with financial and database procedures and utilisation of the database to assist with account management.
Other reasonable duties as required.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be expected to become recognised within the meetings industry and to articulate about key industry issues.A highly motivated sales professional is required who can demonstrate:
- Experience with working on major accounts, ideally within the meetings or travel industries.
- First class written and oral communication skills, including presentation and report writing.
- A proven record of negotiating and securing new business.
- An ability to assimilate and practice strategic account management principles.
- The willingness to undertake regular international travel, often unaccompanied.
- The combination of being able to work under real pressure, using own initiative whilst being a team player.
- A flexible approach to working methods and hours of attendance.
- Self motivate individual.
