We are currently looking for a talented Financial Systems Development & Support Analyst resource required to join an existing Development & Support team. This team is responsible for developing and supporting Backoffice processes for several Backoffice Systems including SAP, and other and related back offices applications across the lastminute.com group. Support is executed for a Shared Services environment and includes support for the S2C, P2P and R2R processes. The support resources also work with Interfaces from mid-office applications into SAP. The Analyst will be responsible for both development and support aspects of the SAP ERP systems and other various backoffices systems for the lastminute.com group. They will be required to gather and determine business requirements, specifically for the financial impacts; and generate design documentation to drive the changes in the impacted financial applications. They will participate in all aspects of development; from Concept to Realization and will execute all aspects of development; including project planning, design, testing planning, testing ( all phases), training, cutover, implementation and post-implementation support. In addition, this role will also encompass support aspects and will include support of both bespoke and standard applications within the SAP Enterprise Financial system; as well as some ancillary supporting systems. They will also be responsible for developing and executing resolution to errors and raising them and working them to resolution with external teams. In addition, they will be work to ensure financial transaction completeness by executing timely end-to-end reconciliation of transactions received and communicating, tracking and developing/executing resolution actions, accordingly. Lastly, this role will be also be responsible for driving and coordinating the financial regression and validation of the financial transactions in conjunction with the lastminute.com Releases cycles. This will include understanding the financial impacts of the releases and developing test plans and scenarios, accordingly. Coordination with external teams (Release management, QA, Finance, etc.) on respective touchpoints and tracking and communicating progress Responsible for gathering/determining/documenting business requirements and developing designs for the changes to be made in the SAP ERP system and/or ancillary support systems. Key Daily Tasks; - Analyzing and supporting interfaces from mid-office to SAP financials.
- Understanding of the external feeder systems and the interfaces through to SAP financials
- Strong analytic mind to investigate complex interfaces using sql skills and other analysis tool, as needed, to allow for interrogation of interfaces, ad-hoc reporting and analysis of issues
- Knowledge and understanding of Accounting and taxation, specifically related to travel products is plus; especially within and across Europe
- Able to recommend and implement improvements to functional process, as well as technical improvements
- Configuration and setup of the SAP application for ongoing maintenance, future enhancement and implementation of new functionality
- Assessment of application issues, testing of patches and liaison with the user community to migrate patches through to production
- Development and tuning of user procedures and implementation of best practices
- Understanding of the external feeder systems and the interfaces through to SAP
- Knowledge of the Sap database schema to allow for interrogation of the interfaces, ad-hoc reporting and analysis of issues
- Coordination with ancilliary teams and 3rd parties , as needed, to progress and execute project tasks
- Working and Serving and shared services/off shore environment that services S2C, P2P and R2R
We are ideally looking for someone with the following background; - At least 5 year of experience with Financials IT development and/or support, specifically SAP in the FICO (AP/AR/GL/PCA/MM/FA/CM modules). SD knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of key SAP tools such as CTS, OSS notes, Solution manager
- Must have a strong grasp of general accounting and financial principles
- Excellent grasp of analysis tools, such as excel skills, access database and sql skills
- Must have worked on several projects following the System Development Life cycle, (from Concept to Realization); and executed tasks in each stage
- Must be able to work under standard Project Methodology, such as with workplans, tasks lists, statuses, delivery milestones, etc.
- Strong depth of knowledge of SAP would be beneficial and a big plus
