Senior Sales Manager – Non Food Superstore
The Company:
Our client is one of the UK’s leading non food retailers, trading from stores of over 10,000 sqft. They are a global brand and have a wide customer base ranging from the general public to small and large businesses but everyone is served according to their individual requirements. As market leaders in their field they offer excellent training and development opportunities and are continuing to open stores despite the challenging environment. Sales figures are well above expectations and the green shoots of recovery are definitely apparent within this business. They are looking for a driven Senior Sales Manager to join the team.
Job Role - Senior Sales Manager:
- Working with the General Manager to Manage and control the overall operation of the store in line with company
policies and procedures
- Working with the General Manager to control P&L and budget accountability through effective management of your
team
- Driving sales growth and profit margin
- To recruit, retain and develop the store team to achieve the business plan
- Maintaining high levels of customer service
- Store standards, including availability levels and standards of presentation
- Ability to develop sales and forge effective relationships with local businesses and institutions through local
marketing
Key Attributes - Senior Sales Manager:
- A “people person” with strong training and development skills
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to proactively deliver results
- Strong sales skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent store merchandising standards
- Excellent customer service standards with an ability to engage with the customer
- Experience of managing a team within a high profile, high turnover retail store, ideally within a large square footage
environment
In addition to a fantastic basic salary, this role offers bonus potential up to £8000 per annum.
