SITE MANAGER CONSTRUCTION
JERSEY
£40,000
Proactive Personnel Ltd is proud to be representing this market leading contractor in their search for Site Manager to head up a major Waste to Energy Plant development in Jersey.
THE CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER
This role will require close liaison with other professionals including Architects, Engineers and Surveyors, whilst also acting as a point of contact for the local public. You will be holding meetings with subcontractors and daily contact with the site workforce.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the Construction site including hire of labour, installation of temporary offices and overseeing delivery of materials.
- Planning a work schedule for the Construction Project using management software packages.
- Monitoring building progress, in particular quality of work, compliance with regulations, costs and speed of completion stages.
- Daily liaison with the site workforce.
- Reporting regularly to the Operations Manager.
THE SUCCESSFUL CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER
Qualifications or Experience desired for this Site Manager role:
- Site Management knowledge and experience with Water Tube Boilers is essential.
- Welding and PED 97 knowledge would also be viewed very advantageously.
- You will have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of building and a good knowledge of H&S regulations.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with a variety of people and to motivate staff.
- You must be well organised and have planning & problem solving skills.
- This will require a decisive nature whilst being prepared to take responsibility.
- Have good numeric and IT skills (MS Office, MS Project and other specific software).
- Driving Licence is essential.
Hours & Conditions:
- The working week is usually 39 hours, Monday to Friday, but evening & weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
- This role will be predominantly based on site in all weather conditions with some of the work being at height on ladders or scaffolding.
