ROLE INFORMATION:
Assisting the Site Manager in the supervision and management of all day to day activities at the Scotland site.
Promoting high standards of H+S through inspection and monitoring of working practices, formulation and preparation of risk assessments and safe systems of work and the provision of necessary training/induction of employees and subcontractors.
Overseeing all aspects of surveying, calculation and engineering design work as required to plan and monitor void design, backfill, coal recoveries, blasting and subcontractors.
Develop site Junior engineers through training, instruction and close supervision such that they progress their competence in an appropriate time-frame.
Monitoring and control environmental compliance of all activities including water discharge, dust, noise, transport and blasting, and to liaise with the relevant enforcement agencies on these matters.
Design, engineering, planning and programming of operations into and beyond the next reporting year to enable accurate forecasts and budgets.
Any other reasonable duties compatible with this position to ensure the smooth running of the site.
