An excellent opportunity has arisen to join this fantastic Ski Travel Company as a Ski Accomodation and Reservations Controller on an 8 month contract. The successful candidate MUST speak FRENCH FLUENTLY and will be responsible for administering and managing the accommodation held on contract to meet deadlines and maximise usage through effective liaison with the management team and suppliers. Providing a professional, efficient and quality telephone service to direct customers, travel agents and internal customers.



The Role:



*Develop and maintain strong relationships with key hoteliers and suppliers.

*Manage the allocation of accommodation held ensuring allocations of rooms are on sale or removed from sale at the right time.

*Source additional rooms where required by the needs of the business.

*Respond to calls and correspondence from hoteliers and administer confirmations and cancellations to meet contracted deadlines and minimise losses to the Company.

*To assist in the accurate preparation of coach and resort manifests in a timely manner

*Respond to calls and correspondence from customers and travel agents to deliver on company sales and service targets.

*Identify customer needs and pro-actively sell additional services eg insurance and ski pack items.

*To be the first point of contact for the sales team.

*Co-ordinating, supporting and monitoring the sales effort in order to achieve targets as well as ensuring routine tasks are completed.

*Be responsible for all tailor-made group enquiries taking the process from beginning to end.

*Manage the stock featured on third party supplier websites to ensure maximum sales.

*Liaise with Team Leaders to aid problem resolution

*Assist with manning of Company out of hours ¿on call¿ rota as required to assist customers on departure *Escalate to all relevant areas, key issues in line with company procedures

*Represent company at key marketing events e.g. ski shows

*Process all administration within Company and ABTA guidelines and timescales

*Ensure that any insurance sales comply with FSA rules

*Minimise losses to the Company through due diligence

*Use internal computer packages to make reservations, administer bookings/queries, make amendments, or reply to customer correspondence



Skills Required:



*Fluent spoken and written French

*Customer service skills and/or travel experience

*Accuracy and attention to detail

*Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

*Ability to develop rapport and maintain strong relationships

*Commercial understanding of the balance between customer service and profit

*Sales focused

*Positive can do attitude

*Experience of working under pressure and meeting deadlines

*Keyboard skills/ PC literate in Word and Excel

*Ability to work to own initiative and manage own time effectively

*Flexible and adaptable in work and working hours

*An organised approach to work



Additional Information:



* Opening hours are 9am-7pm Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday

*Shifts will be allocated on a rota basis in advance

*The contract is designed on Annualised Hours

*Flexibility with working hours is essential
