Job Role

Preparation of Unit Trust and OEIC financial statements in the SORP format within set timescales Calculation of distributions Preparation of tax computations for different types of distribution Preparation of supporting working papers and reconciliation of all relevant financial statement information Timely and accurate update of department database for internal/external reporting Updating ledgers with relevant journal / transaction entree Liaison with internal parties e.g. pricing dept and postings deputy Liaison with external parties e.g. auditors, trustees and clients Proof reading of financial statements Assistance with related Fund Accounting departments as required Other project work and ad-hoc tasks as required.
A sound knowledge of double entry principles and financial accounting
Relevant industry knowledge would be preferable Ability to work as part of a team with an adaptable and approachability to manage & meet tight deadlines with flexibility for different workloads Ability to communicate at different levels and with other departments Good PC skills, especially Excel Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant ACA or ACCA preferable.
