McGinnis Loy Finance are recruiting for a US Multinational business who have operations worldwide and are a highly recognisable household name. Reporting to a Divisional Financial Controller, they are now seeking a SOX Compliance Manager who can be responsible for the ongoing processes relating to SOX, provide training around IT controls and business processes, and provide accurate reporting to internal management. Specific duties include :
- Ensuring the SOX controls environment reflects corporate requirements
- Ensuring risks are identified, well managed and understood
- Assessing current practice and continue to develop Sarbanes-Oxley testing programmes
- Ensuring testing programme are executed in a timely and efficient manner
- Working closely with process owners to enhance and develop their controls environment
- Training the Sarbanes-Oxley teams and maintaining awareness and focus
- Managing the annual certification of the “Policy on Business Conduct” programme
- Managing the finance strategies to ensure business continuity
- Facilitate and manage the records management process in finance to ensure compliance with Corporate policy
To be considered for the position, you should ideally be a Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) or equivalent with proven internal controls documentation & SOX experience from either the profession or industry. You should be comfortable in understanding broad based risk management techniques, ideally have UK & US GAAP knowledge, be highly motivated and able to set your own priorities. Previous working in an International environment is highly desirable, as is the ability to communicate and influence people at all levels.
