Our client is one of the largest independent relocation services businesses in the UK. Established in 1982, they offer a range of employee relocation and rental accommodation services, both nationally and internationally.
A new strategic project has created an opening for an MS Access/SQL developer within their busy IT department. The ACCESS / SQL SYSTEMS DEVELOPER will be responsible for the day to day running of a number of established systems and moving forwards will present the opportunity to become involved with new development projects. Key Responsibilities will include supporting users identifying and resolving bugs, and adapting systems to meet the evolving business needs. The developer will also be responsible for the maintenance of a number of SQL back-end databases.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of commercial experience and a background in development, and support of MS Access and SQL systems This will include experience of VBA, using SQL and native Access tables and working with bound and unbound Access forms. They will also have recent experience writing and using stored procedures and basic MSSQL server administration. Exceptional customer support and communication skills are vital to this position. In addition recent experience of C# ASP.Net, WPF, WCF, MSSQL 2000 and Office XP will be advantageous.
