Safety Case Author / Safety Reliability Engineer – Nuclear industry.
Rapidly expanding Defence companyproviding high end technical and project management services to the principal defence companies.
Our client is seeking individuals at a number of levels to join their growing Defence teamin Warrington, Derby and Bristol. These roles will offer specialist technical, mechanical, safety and reliability engineering and project management services primarily to clients, supporting their ongoing commitment to the UK MoD Submarine Programme.
Engineers with demonstrable Safety and Reliability Engineering analytical skills are required to deliver a range of technically challenging projects and support the development of safety cases in the nuclear industry.

Requirements of the Role
Essential
A degree, HND or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline is preferred with appropriate professional experience in safety environments relevant to the defence sector.
Desirable
Hazard identification and assessment techniques e.g. Hazop, FMEA, FMECA, FTA/ETA.
Modern standards safety case process including production and presentation of deterministic and probabilistic safety arguments.Independent Peer Review ARM/ILS.Reliability Centred Maintenance. Familiar with UK regulatory standards e.g. NII SAPs .
Familiar with the Nuclear industry and/ or Submarine Nuclear Steam Raising Plant.
Pursuing Chartership through the INucE or other appropriate institute.
Responsibilities
Set, communicate and enforce appropriate technical standards.
Train and mentor staff (on or off-the-job) and support their progression.
Interpret clients' wants and needs effectively forstaff and contractors.
Apply knowledge and experience effectively in the project planning (or bid stages).
Contribute directly to selected projects with high profile or high technical.
Support the development and implementation of training and professional. development standards.
Salary £30K-£48K depending on level of experience. Locations – Derby or Bristol.
