My client is a rapidly growing company based in Cambridge.They work with architects, building services engineers and contractors to optimise ventilation strategies for buildings.The company also manufactures and supplies low energy ventilation systems which benefit from this technology.
My client no wishes to recruit a Sales Engineer to support our plans to expand sales of ventilation systems, particularly in the Government’s still strongly-funded “Building Schools for the Future” programme.The work will involve liaising with architects, building services engineers and our manufacturing department to convert client requirements into product specifications and production schedules.The successful candidate will be expected to calculate the size of a proposed system and work with the client to ensure that it fits the building.
The ideal applicant will have a good engineering degree (preferably mechanical) or equivalent.He/she will be a team player with good communications skills, who would feel comfortable dealing with clients from different technical backgrounds and levels of responsibility.He/she should be able to read complex engineering and architectural drawings and preferably should also be able to use AutoCAD.Experience of the M&E consulting/contracting sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
The post is based in my clients Cambridge office but the successful candidate should have a clean driving license and be prepared to travel throughout the UK to visit clients and construction sites as/when required.
