Senior Sales Executive

International Sales Group (ISG)

(Based in Richmond, Surrey)

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a fast-paced international business environment, covering a range of different industry sectors. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be dealing with industry leaders across a range of sectors, key trade associations, and government departments in the UK, and with multiple RX offices across the globe.

Based in Richmond, your role will be to sell RX’s overseas exhibitions to UK companies, provide excellent customer service and account management, and understand UK export trends and destination markets to assist with the development of ISG UK business strategy.

You will be required to forge relationships and exceed sales targets across multiple industries by:

  • Up-selling and managing existing clients
  • Generating new business and attracting SME’s
  • Boosting sales of sponsorship packages.

You will be expected to achieve and exceed challenging sales targets for your industry sectors, attend international industry events and enhance the domestic and international reputation of our world-leading exhibitions.

The main tasks include:

  • Recruiting exhibitors through targeted sales campaigns; mailings, telesales, face-to-face meetings, onsite prospecting
  • Providing input into annual budgeting for the events you are responsible for. Conduct market research for new events / new markets
  • Working with Sales Managers to hit sales targets across a diverse show portfolio
  • Building relationships with UK Government, Trade Associations and industry leaders
  • Working and communicating with overseas RX offices, providing onsite support to customers at exhibitions
  • Filing required reports in timely manner
  • Working with marketing team to compile and implement marketing campaigns
The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following
  • Ability to sell – proven quantifiable results
  • International business and cultural awareness - this position involves frequent overseas travel
  • Specific industry/market knowledge an advantage
  • Excellent written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills
  • Strategic thinking
  • Negotiation skills
  • Foreign languages an advantage
