Customer Sales Developer (Internal Account Manager, Business Development)

Our client is a leading distributor of electrical products and are proud to be a successful sales organisation with a strong focus on “going the extra mile” for their broad and diverse customer base.
They are currently looking for a proactive Customer Sales Developer to join a small, recently created team based at their Dagenham East Head Office in this predominantly warm calling role. It is Monday – Friday work with standard 8.30am – 5.00pm hours and the company has good bus and underground links which makes them easily accessible.
The work is focussed around specific products and, although you will be taking and dealing with some inbound calls, the primary purpose of your role will be making proactive calls to identified existing customer accounts to promote and sell specific product ranges. Utilising their leading-edge customer relationship management software, you will use your well-developed communication and negotiation skills in order to continue to strengthen already established relationships with the customer that will enable you to grow sales.
You must have proven recent product sales experience and this must have been for consumable products (not services). Our client is looking for people with a clear telephone voice who are confident, motivated, friendly and able to develop genuine rapport with customers. Microsoft skills (Word, Excel and preferably Access) are also a requirement. For the right candidate there will be the chance for career progression to an external sales and/or management role and the opportunity to be trained as a salesforce.com administrator.
