SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR - MATERIALS HANDLING
40-50k + BONUS + CHOICE OF CAR + PENSION + LIFE ASSURANCE
THE COMPANY
Over the last 20 years this leading manufacturer of abrasive materials handling solutions has achieved double digit growth each year. Having out grown their existing production facility, the business has just moved to a new purpose built site that has increased their capacity threefold. In order to maintain this impressive growth the business needs a Sales and Marketing Director to help drive the business forward.
THE ROLE
As Sales and Marketing Director you will be responsible for a team of 4 external and 3 internal sales engineers. Reporting into the MD, you will be given full autonomy to set and develop the overall sales strategy for the business. In turn you will then need to use your existing management and leadership skills to asses the team, train, develop and motivate the team to get the best out of them. Although you will not have any direct sales responsibility, you will need to do joint visits with the team to customers within mining, aggregates, cement, power, and glass manufacturing. You will be expected to support them in influencing senior level decision makers to close out large orders.
THE CANDIDATE
Our client is currently only accepting applications from candidates, who have the following experience,
"A mechanical engineering qualification, ideally HND or above
"A track record in the leadership of technical sales teams, as either a Sales Manager or Sales Director.
"Experience of selling to the target markets (mining, aggregates, cement, power, and glass manufacturing)
"Have the energy and enthusiasm to drive the business forward.
