>> You have proven clerical or administrative experience including record keeping, book-keeping, cash handling, reception, typing and filing duties. You also have experience of MS Office software and a flexible and adaptable approach. Experience in an educational establishment desirable.  
>> Required to provide administrative, communications and clerical support to the teaching service, this involves undertaking a range of administrative and clerical duties, and administering the Devolved Education Management budget (including cash handling). Duties also include providing a school reception service, telephone and security, record keeping and word processing.  
>> The appointment is subject to satisfactory clearance from Disclosure Scotland and the provision of Criminal Records Check from other countries as deemed necessary and where they are available. It is a criminal offence for anyone who is on the Disqualified from working with Children list or disqualified from working with vulnerable adults or the elderly to apply for or continue to working in this position.    

Job Purpose

>> To provide administrative, communications and clerical support to the teaching service within a Primary/Nursery and Community school.    

Main Tasks
  • Undertake a range of administrative and clerical duties
  • Administer the Devolved Education Management budget and cash handling
  • Provide a school reception service, telephone and security duties
  • Maintain pupil records system 
  • Undertake word processing duties
