Overall Objective

Responsible for the day-to-day management of?the Recruitment team, working in line with company professional standards. To excel in all areas of your work, including managing the team as well as your own desk.??

Key Responsibilities:?

People Management??

  • To assist in the staff selection process by interviewing applicants and making recruitment decisions in conjunction with Director.
  • To conduct new staff office induction and ensure they are being correctly carried out to the required standard.
  • To agree, monitor and review individual targets on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, using tools available such as Weekly Activity Reports / Cal Logging / CV Plus.
  • To provide / arrange coaching and training to ensure staff development.
  • To provide on-going feedback and corrective counselling through monthly one-to-one's and regular Appraisals/PDPs/Career Reviews.
  • To increase and maintain staff motivation and morale.
  • To be accountable for staff retention within team.
  • To identify specific weak performers and performance manage.
  • To ensure communication of Company information to all staff in designated area so they are kept informed. ?

Sales???

  • Canvass (cold call) existing and potential clients to establish new contacts and their precise recruitment requirements using relevant questioning techniques.
  • Document client details and vacancy requirements using CV+ (a computerised database holding client and applicant information), maximising information obtained.
  • Adhere to the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy, treating clients, applicants and employees in a fair and consistent manner, irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, ethnic background or political beliefs.
  • Attend client visits, recruitment fairs and other exhibitions or business events to expand the client base and develop new business.
  • Negotiate rates and fee details with the client before placement is confirmed, within Company guidelines.
  • Carry out in-depth telephone or face-to-face interviews with applicants. Consultants should ascertain an applicant's work experience, qualifications, requirements and aspirations, using relevant questioning techniques.
  • Match applicant abilities and aspirations to vacancies and use relevant selling skills to secure interviews.
  • Review applications, manage interviews and consider applicants and shortlists.
  • Identify client and applicant objections and effectively overcome them by using relevant selling techniques, both on the telephone and when visiting clients on their premises.
  • Confirm all placements by sending out the relevant documentation to the client, applicant and Accounts Department.?
  • Monitor applicants when placed, according to Randstad's aftercare policy.
  • Collect feedback from employers on the performance and suitability of applicants who have previously been placed with them.
  • Keep your line manager regularly informed and updated on activities either current or expected.
  • To act in a professional and responsible manner at all times, and as a role model to junior staff.
  • Keep abreast of the recruitment industry by reading relevant journals and national press.
