Sector Account Manager - Energy -Circa £28,000
My client now requires a Senior Account Manager to be responsible for establishing and managing the relationships with selected high profile customers on co-funded/commercial services. You will work in partnership with these customers in order to gain an understanding of their requirements, with the aim of delivering high quality emissions reduction initiatives specifically tailored to their needs e.g. Energy efficiency, renewables, business model and supply reconfiguration etc.

-Proven excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills
-Proven drive and ability to sell ideas/ opportunities
-Strong project management skills with the experience of delivering projects to time across multiple stakeholders
-Strong strategic thinking and related problem solving skills
-Comfortable with complex data analysis
-Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment
-A strong experience in consultancy/ blue chip companies within a strategic environment
Responsibilities will include
-Facilitation of external client meetings with a view to obtaining/ maintaining Carbon Management commitment at Senior Management level
-Being involved in processing and managing CMEE, Carbon Management services and Extended Carbon Surveys
-To identify and map the customer journey
-Participation in appropriate meetings, including public speaking at events
-To actively identify potential new customers with the aim of securing their commitment to work in partnership.
-Manage relationships with customers, both over the phone and in person, engaging with key personnel across all levels of the organisation including senior management
-To drive and sell the implementation of cost effective emissions reduction
-Gain an understanding of the customers' business and specific strategic carbon and energy management needs and how our support fits in the context of their business
-Drive problem solving to support customer needs in terms of short term and strategic emissions reduction
-Design and manage the delivery of a package of services to address customers needs
-Assess, on an ongoing basis, the quality of services delivered and ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality levels and within the scope cost and timelines agreed
-Track and drive the implementation process as it progresses through various stages to ensure delivery
-Drive problem solving to support customer requirements in terms of short term quick wins and deeper strategic emissions reduction
-Ensure financial control of the specific budget for each customer
-Provide input into marketing initiatives related to customer acquisition
-Act as a resource to the SAM Team Leader to help develop the team's strategic thinking
-To fully understand the strategic positioning
-Ad hoc requirements as the role dictates
Suitable applicants should be educated to masters level or have equivalent professional experience in energy management/ related areas. You must also have demonstrable experience of working at senior management level in an advisory capacity.
