A leading Facilities Management Company is currently recruiting for a Security Control Centre Manager for Project Work in the Birmingham area. The control centre will act as a control and communications centre for security and act as a support facility to the Help Desk department. This is a developing role and tasks and responsibilities may change. You will be required to ensure the effective and efficient re-active and pro active utilisation of all security systems, including but not restricted to CCTV, Alarms and access control systems installed in the control room. Also a core duty will be ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, current legislation and the codes of practice.
Tasks Include
- All tasks assigned to control room operatives
- Management of control room staff
- Ensure full coverage of positions at all times
- Monitor pro-actively and re-actively all equipment installed in the control centre
- Develop/maintain rosters for the guard force and all Security personnel as required utilising software provided
- Liaise with police and other authorities providing expert evidence as required
- Manage the out of hours support function to the Helpdesk.
- If required liaise with payroll or accounts departments regarding data held on the security guarding or other systems
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation including Data Protection Act
- Provide all statements, reports, forms or logs as required in a prompt fashion.
- Quality control the reports and documentation of the control room operatives
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold an SIA Licence in categories for guarding and for CCTV
- Experience at working in a manned guarding control room environment
- Extensive experience of working in a CCTV environment
- Experience at supervision or management level would be an advantage
- Demonstrate experience or the ability to respond professionally in an emergency or under pressure
- A training qualification would be an advantage
