Our client a public sector organisation based in the education sector is currently recruiting for Facility Support Officer / Security Supervisor. The role involves responsibility for the support and assistance to all departments (of the estate) and maintenance of an acceptable standard of cleanliness throughout the buildings in their charge.
Specifics of the job include the following:
1. Checking overall cleanliness of site as per Health and Safety guidelines.
2. Site security duties including the locking/ unlocking of departments/ site and use of the CCTV machine.
3. Tidying and (supervision of) cleaning of relevant site (including main waste collection area) and collection of leaves and rubbish.
4. The collection, sorting and delivery of mail and packages to departments.
5. Portering duties as requested and instructed by the line manager.
6. Collection and removal of waste from across the site to a central collection area.
7. Distribute fobs and visitor passes, keeping a log of all guests.
8. Periodic cleaning as specified in the services manual and external grounds.
9. Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, patients and visitors.
The role will require the following qualifications / training:
SIA Licence
CRB
The ability to show previous Cleaning / Security supervision experience (preferably) within a public sector environment.
This role is initially for a 3-month contract but could become a permanent position.
