This market leading Insurer based in London is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Investments and Treasury division to monitor the application of the FX strategy and report on its effectiveness in minimising the foreign exchange exposure generated from the European Operations Insurance and non insurance business units.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage the preparation and production of financial reports to ensure complete, timely and accurate delivery of information
* Identify and exploit any opportunities to exploit the profitability of the business
* Support the external and internal audit process ensuring that all information is compiled and available for the audit process
* Manage and develop financial systems and procedures to meet current and anticipated future financial accounting and reporting in line with corporate and regulatory requirements
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
* Calculates the risks involved in different decisions and the risks involved
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with thorough technical knowledge of all primary financial statement reporting and appropriate regulatory/statutory frameworks and how they impact on the insurance sectors. The ideal candidate will be qualified from one of the BIG 4 Accountancy firms and have experience in accounting at a manager level. This position will be split between London and their regional office in Essex
