Manufacturing client in Mid Glamorgan is seeking a Senior Accountant to cover a 12 month maternity contract. This is a superb opportunity to work for a successful and rapidly expanding organisation and add value.
Reporting into the Financial Director on a day to day basis, you will be required to assist with all aspects of the financial/management accounts. Due to a recent acquisition, the successful candidate will be required to prepare the monthly management accounts pack, profit and loss/balance sheet, accruals and prepayments for this particular company until they are incorporated into the group. Your involvement in systems testing and trying to implement shop floor costing will also play an important part of the role. Therefore, previous experience of this would be a distinct advantage. As you will be working as part of a small finance team, you will be required to help out with payroll, cheque runs and any other ad hoc tasks deemed necessary as peak periods.
The role will initially be offered on a short-term temporary basis with the view to a 12 month contract, plus additional benefits including 20 days holiday and on-site parking. The desired candidate will be a friendly and personable individual who has the ability to work hard in a sometimes highly pressurised environment. Previous knowledge of working with Sage and other financial packages would be a distinct advantage, coupled with advanced/intermediate Excel skills. Hours of work are Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm.
