We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Acoustician with a background in either environmental or building acoustics to join an extremely successful, leading, specialist Acoustic Consultancy who is well established in the fields of architectural acoustics and noise vibration control. Salary: £28,000-£35,000

Qualifications
MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
Membership of the Institute of Acoustics

Experience
Considerable senior post graduate experience in Acoustic Consultancy within either Industrial, Environmental or Building sectors
A proven track record in effective project and financial management
Ability to use and instruct others in the use of sound and vibration meters
Highly organised and IT literate
Exhibit excellent communication skills
Ability to write fluent and intelligible reports, placing a high emphasis on accuracy and consistency
Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package
Strong project and people management skills are essential

Duties
Assessment, measurement, prediction and analysis of noise and vibration within the environmental, building and industrial acoustics sector
Carry out surveys and assessments in support of planning applications for proposed developments
contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business through networking, contact nurturing and presentations.
Carry out industrial and workplace noise surveys and provide practical solutions and advice to ensure the health and safety of all employees.
Leading and providing support to less experienced consultants
Overall project management responsibilities for projects or varying sizes
Budgeting, report writing, negotiating and submitting proposals to clients
Perform acoustic testing to common British Standards to establish acoustic properties of industrial equipment.
Grow teams of highly qualified, committed consultants and be responsible for the day to day running of the Scottish office.

Residential, public, commercial, educational and industrial developments
Industrial and workplace noise surveys
Assessments in support of planning applications for proposed residential development in urban areas, typically affected by transport, industrial and entertainment noise.
