The acoustics group within an expanding international engineering organisation is enjoying continued success within the environmental sector and as such require a Senior Consultant with a minimum of 8 years Acoustic Consultancy to manage an existing team of ambitious specialists in their Manchester office. Successful applicants will take a central role in maximising business opportunities while delivering existing design and advisory projects to exacting professional standards. From fee negotiation through to detailed technical design and delivery you will have the freedom to manage your own projects across the UK within the building, environmental, transportation and renewable energy sectors.

Salary: Up to £40K dependent on relevant experience

Qualifications
Ideally MSc/BSc Acoustics/Noise and Vibration

Experience
Preferably 8 years+ Acoustic consultancy within the renewable sector with emphasis on wind farm development
A keen interest in renewable energy
Technically competent and IT proficient
Commercially aware and team player
Extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics
Strong project management skills.
The ability to produce technically accurate reports
Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
Full driving license

Duties
Carry out acoustic assessments, noise measurements and surveys and site inspections with an emphasis on ETSU-R-97 wind farm assessments.
Conducting base line surveys for Environmental Impact Assessments
Carry out data analysis as part of the on site monitoring process
Carry out accurate and representative noise predictions in the field of noise and planning
Supplying expert witness evidence on all aspects of acoustics, noise and vibration
Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
Project management
Writing high quality reports
Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions
Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK

Projects
The client is currently involved in a number of high profile exciting projects with focus on Renewable Energy with particular expertise in wind energy developments.
