An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor has arisen within this leading financial institution to carry out tests to assess effectiveness of controls - may involve data analysis / observation / interviews with colleagues within the business.

Responsibilities include:
* Participate in team meetings.
* Participate in GIA conferences.
* Participate in own performance appraisal meetings.
* Participate in knowledge sharing events to promote own and others' business / product knowledge and continuing professional development.
* Support new team members / less experienced auditors on an ad hoc basis.
* Senior Auditors work under the direction of an Audit Manager, and therefore do not have significant decision making responsibility. However, within these parameters, they have some scope for deciding when and how to conduct individual interviews / and specific pieces of fieldwork, in line with the overall scope and timescales of the project, and in consultation with the team leader.


To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be possess strong knowledge of exotic products, audit techniques, possess a high level knowledge of banking / financial services business processes/controls, specialist knowledge and demonstrated ability to identify risks and controls applicable to a trading business / desk in the following areas:
* Management controls and governance
* Front Office
* Operations (including Middle Office)
* Product Control
* Market Risk
* Credit Risk and Operational Risk
