A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Senior Research Scientist/Bioinformatician who is looking for a new and exciting challenge within a growing bioinformatics research organisation. My client is on the lookout for an experienced bioinformatics scientist with a proven background in genomics/genetics and hands on experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics in relation to high-throughput DNA sequencing
The successful candidate will be heading up a new bioinformatics group, focusing on innovative scientific research topics involving genomic data analysis.
The ideal applicant will be educated to Msc level (PhD preferred) in Bioinformatics, Genetics or scientific discipline. It is essential that you have previous experience (either in industry or academia) working on next generation sequence assembly alongside microarray data analysis and the handling of large-scale genomic data sets.
