45991029 Senior Buyer South East £50000 to £60000 per annum Permanent jobs Updated 19/11/2009 18:31 Job Role Your role as a Senior Buyer for this Online Retailer based in Berkshire is to launch the fashion clothing part of the business. Your role will be to identify and source brands / vendors, negotiate cost prices, monitor competition, spotting new fashion trends and introducing them into the range. You will be measured on market segment share, profitability, availability, inventory, selection, promotional success, development of collaborative supplier partnerships, and development of the team.
This is a brand new category for the business and therefore a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to be an integral part of this exciting new launch and to really influence the structure and content of this area.
To be successful as a Senior fashion Buyer, you will be:
- From a strong fashion branded retail background as a Buyer / Senior Buyer
- A good negotiator
- Broad Commercial awareness developed in a fast moving environment
- Proven ability to drive change
- Familiarity with the internet market, particularly within the fashion industry
- Proven experience of Managing teams of Assistant/ Junior Buyers
