About us
In today’s economic climate, our reputation for being open, honest and trustworthy is benefiting our customers and our business. Underpinning it all is a commercial operation that’s keenly competitive and constantly evolving. Right now, right across our business, we’re aiming higher, thinking smarter and acting faster than ever before. And we need people who are proud of what we stand for, and who have the talent and drive to boost our performance still further.
About the role
Senior Compliance Consultants provide compliance advice, guidance and expertise to the Nationwide Group including the Derbyshire, Cheshire and Dunfermline Building Societies. This will involve day to day business contact, reviewing procedures and working with the business to develop business focussed compliant solutions. You will be required to provide expert, accurate and timely advice to the business in respect of Investment, Insurance, Mortgages and Savings products. The initial focus of the roles will be project related, providing compliance support to the Cheshire, Derbyshire and Dunfermline Building Societies to assist them in continuing to develop consistent compliant policies and procedures which are aligned to the Nationwide Building Society.
About you
As a Senior Compliance Consultant you will need to demonstrate influencing and negotiation skills when dealing with all stakeholders across the business. You will need to ensure that Nationwide meets its regulatory requirements whilst at the same time remaining pragmatic and business focussed. You will have an appreciation of Principle Based Regulation and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) as this is built into all aspects of our sales policy, sales processes and financial promotions. The successful applicant will combine specialist knowledge with commercial acumen to assist the business to successfully translate requirements into workable compliant policies and processes. CeFA, CeMap or equivalent qualifications are essential, as is a thorough working knowledge of the relevant FSA handbooks.
About your rewards
We have big ambitions for our business – and high expectations of the people who’ll help us achieve them. In return, as well as plenty of scope for personal development, you can look forward to the recognition and kind of rewards package you’ve come to expect from us.
