SENIOR ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

We are seeking a high calibre Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to take on an Engineering Policy role, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering Policy.
In this senior management role, you must demonstrate a sound understanding of E&I related legislation, standards and codes of practice, together with a working knowledge of the UK, European and International gas industry and all relevant engineering standards, safety legislation and regulations.
You will ideally be a Chartered Engineer, but Incorporated Engineers with an appropriate breadth of experience will be considered. Committed to safety and outstanding service, you have excellent communication, influencing, computer and IT skills. Management or supervisory experience would be a significant advantage.
Other locations considered for this role are ? in England: Aldershot, Oxford, Orpington, Horsham, Ashford (Kent), Poole, Epsom or Kennington/ Oval, or in Scotland: Dundee, Dunfermline, Hillington (nr Glasgow), Edinburgh, Glasgow or Coatbridge.
The role will involve travel within the geographic boundary (either South East England or Scotland) and regular liaison and meetings would be required with the Head of Engineering policy and E & I experts located in the South of the country as well as Scotland.
You will be joining a major gas distribution consortium operating two of the largest regional gas distribution networks in the UK, delivering gas to 5.7 million customers safely, reliably and efficiently. |
