An excellent opportunity has arisen within this multidisciplinary consultancy based in Carlisle for an experienced ecologist to join their growing team.
*Qualification- Candidates for this role are anticipated to hold a relevant academic background, BSc / MSc in ecology / similar, Full membership of IEEM, and protected species licences. Candidates are anticipated to hold on or more protected species licences.
*Location- Carlisle
*Experience- The successful candidate for this role will hold previous ecology consultancy experience, with experience of ecological surveys, report writing and designing mitigation projects. Candidates with strong staff management and project management skill swill be at an advantage, as will those with a strong background in Bats.
*Salary- £Neg on skills and experience

Duties Include:
- Project management
- Staff management and mentoring
- Report writing
- Ecological field surveys- protected species, habitat surveys, ecological monitoring programmes
- Liaising with clients
- Liaising with internal multidisciplinary teams
- Preparing ecological; chapters for EIA and contributing to Environmental statements
Typical Projects
Working on large scale development led projects- including housing, commercial, industrial and highways developments.
