Atkins is one of the world's leading rail engineering consultancies. Its rail business is the largest in its field in Europe. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer to work in the Rail Asset Management Group (RAMG) on the development and delivery of infrastructure (primarily rail and highway) asset management solutions. Current major projects for the team include Lifecycle Costing and Asset Renewal Planning for DLR, Asset Management Planning for Highways Agency and Transport Scotland and Decision Support Tools development for Department for Transport.
Responsibilities
- To develop asset management solutions using whole life costing, deterioration modelling and maintenance optimisation techniques
Requirements
- Substantial experience in the asset management and maintenance of railway or highway structures
- Experience in whole life costing, deterioration modelling, maintenance optimisation, risk and reliability analysis techniques - that can be readily applied to the rail and highway infrastructure sectors.
- First Class/honours degree qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
- Post graduate qualifications, in an appropriate discipline, is desirable
