The Company
My client is a Principal Contractor specialising in interior/exterior construction and refurbishment, of retail premises and commercial property. They provide a nationwide shopfitting service, provides a fit out and refurbishment service to its corporate clients and has a support division undertaking general building, traditional construction and specialist projects.
The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join the company working from their head office in Essex.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be able to handle all aspects of the tender process. Main duties will include preparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations, client liaison and final negotiations.
They are open to considering someone in a more Commercial Manager role if as an Estimator you can demonstrate not only expected commercial awareness but a track record in new business development.

The Person
As a Senior Estimator:
* You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record gained from a wide range of projects, ideally in the refurbishment sector.
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be liaising with clients and consultants on a day to day basis.
* Self motivated, flexible and used to working to tight deadlines, you will quickly establish yourself as a respected member of the team.
* You will be computer literate and conversant with computer/spreadsheet based estimating packages is preferred.
The Package
The Package on offer for this Senior Estimator role includes a basic salary c£45k-£50k, Car Allowance and other benefits.
