The Client
A specialist Civil Engineering company based in S. E London. The client focuses on infrastructure projects for main contractors covering transport both underground/rail and road including civils and support.
The position
The role will be to work as the Senior Estimator/Bid Manager and will be an addition to the existing commercial team. You will turn initial enquiries into secured contracts, assemble tender documents and manage the process from start to finish.
Day to day duties will include;
lOverseeing all cost implications relating to bid and tender
lTo ensure most accurate and competitive tenders/bids are produced as accurately as possible
lTo ensure continued development of the working relationships between all departments whilst compiling documentation for bid or tender
lClient meetings
lSite Visits
Skillset
lA solid understanding of London Underground standards and procedures would be a huge advantage
lA successful commercial background as an Estimator/Bid Manager within a construction/civils company
lManagement of junior estimators and commercial team members ensuring, support, training and development where required
lProven MS Office literacy.
lIdeally CIOB & HNC in Civil Eng.
