45990734 Senior Estimator West Midlands £50000 to £60000 per annum Permanent jobs Updated 19/11/2009 18:07 Job Role The primary function of the Senior Estimator will be to provide accurate cost estimates and supporting documentation to maximise the opportunity for my client to secure new works within the rail sector. Acting as the lead within the estimating function you will provide technical guidance to Estimators, Project managers and Bid Teams with regards to the accurate preparation of tender documentation to ensure the best possibility of identifying and securing work. You will be assisting in completion of initial PQQ paperwork and will work closely with the Bid, Procurement and Project Teams ensuring that estimates submitted are feasible with regards to efficient and realistic delivery of projects.
Ideally you will have previous estimating experience gained within the rail sector and will ideally be from an operational background as my client as stated that previous site management/engineering experience would be highly desirable. Extensive non rail related civil engineering experience would also be considered. With a recognised qualification such as a degree or HNC you will be pro-active in your approach and will be willing to take complete ownership of the estimating function including client liaison. Previous experience of using a recognised estimating software package such as Candy or Conquest.is essential
