The role is based in Hong Kong and is paying between £45,000 - £60,000 (roughly 570,000 HK$ - 765,000 HK$).
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications with at least 8 years experience in the application of Human Factors in a railway environment.
The role involves both the development of proposals and project delivery to ensure that the clients' requirements are met.
The projects in the region are varied and include supporting operators in the development of Human Factors Integration strategies. You will also be responsible for the provision of training of project teams, contractors and manufacturers in the design of railway systems including rolling stock, stations and control centres.
As there are no regulatory requirements in the region promoting human factors, the role will also involve identifying opportunities to educate and encourage various bodies to embrace human factors. This will entail knowledge of the services and products we offer world-wide and awareness of emerging developments in the field of transportation human factors.
You must be willing to travel in the region, have an outgoing personality and be passionate about the rail industry. A good communicator in English and mindful of the fact that English is a second language in the region, you will be comfortable presenting to groups of specialists and potential clients. You will also be a member of a relevant, professional body. Cantonese or Mandarin language skills would be beneficial, but not mandatory by any means.
